Summer Craft Retreat Fun!

It was a beautiful day on Saturday and the perfect day to get away from it all and spend the day crafting. This is precisely what we did. I held my first Craft Retreat Day and I am so happy to say that everyone has told me they had a lovely time!

The calm before everyone arrives.

Everyone had a prepared kit full of the supplies they needed for the day to make 20 cards. Five designs to make four of each and also a gift bag. With lots left over to take home and play with too. I had prepared all the card bases and layers in advance leaving more time for creativity. I emphasise that the aim of the day though is fun and relaxation! So make as many of the cards as you like and take home the kit to be able to complete at home as wished. No pressure, just fun!

These at four of the five card designs we made using all new products from the new Annual Stampin Up range.  Alas my other card sample has disappeared! Though if it turns up I will add it on the blog.

Our gift bag using the new Foil Frenzy 12 x 12 papers. (Though it is card stock weight). Perfect for this very simple to make bag and I used the new gold Library clips to secure the top.

I provided bottles of cold water and of course a little chocolate. (what's crafting without a little chocolate!) Tea and coffee flowed all day πŸ˜‹

So much creativity from everyone!

Cake for elevenses of course and being the lovely crowd we are we also sang Happy Birthday to Caroline who celebrated the day before.

No naked envelopes here. πŸ˜„

We had delicious warmed scones, clotted cream and also strawberries and cream for our Crafternoon tea. Although I didn't get a  photograph before we tucked in!

Some samples I received as swaps at a tea training event the previous weekend. Its always great to get lots of ideas!

We saw the fly past for the Queens Birthday and Armed Forces Day  ( we like to think they were out for Caroline's Birthday too πŸ˜‚)

We all had such a lovely time and it was great to be able to spend time with everyone crafting. Lots of cards and gift bags were made.  I have to say a great big THANKYOU  to everyone who came as they are such a lovely group of ladies and made it a success.  I loved it so much I have already planned the next one !

Pigs! And a Craft Retreat!

Goodness its been a whirl wind of a week! I was away at a team weekend away last weekend and had a fabulous time. I shall take some time to share that with you in the next few days.  Its been a whirl wind of activity since I returned, Coffee and Cards Monday and since then my feet have not touched the ground, I have been preparing for a very exciting event. Tomorrow I am holding my very first Craft Day Event. I am so excited. I have lots of lovely projects prepared and also a Crafternoon tea! I am keeping my fingers crossed it goes well. I have been working very hard to prepare for it and there has been lots of cutting and scoring and making up of kits and instructions. I think I have remembered everything. Even a little chocolate. Chocolate and Crafting go hand in hand Right?

Here is my Craft table yesterday!

It doesn't give much away. I shall post pictures of the projects after the event and also of the event. I'm keeping everything crossed that it goes well. I really want to make sure my ladies have a lovely time.

In amidst the hustle and bustle of preparation I managed to squeeze in a little Five Minute Friday Project using the cute This Little Piggy Stamp Set. I love these stamps. They are very popular.

You can see it, and how I made it here.

How cute is this little fella?

I used a Whisper White base at 10.5 x 14.8
Powder Pink Panel at 14.3 x 10
Scraps of Soft Sky and Whisper White.
The ribbon is absolutely gorgeous! Its the new shimmer ribbon in Powder Pink.

I hope you like the video. If you do, please leave me a comment or a like and subscribe for more.
I hope you are enjoying the new catalogue and all the lovely goodies inside. If you would like a complimentary copy do get in touch.

Five Minute Friday!

Its been a fabulous week! Last Friday I had my Open House, Catalogue Launch Party - so much fun. I got to craft with all the lovely ladies who came. I served Prosecco and cake which went down well. The perfect accompaniment to a little paper crafting!

I am very excited about the event I am holding the weekend of the 17th too! I am holding a Summer Craft Day Retreat , complete with Crafternoon Tea.  A whole day of crafting, leave the kids, dogs, washing behind and have a little you time. We will be doing a stamp a stack. Twenty cards, four each of five designs plus a gift bag. Enough to keep us in beautiful hand made cards to give for a while. I have been planning this through the catalogue transition and all the products in our kits will be new. I have done a HUGE order for our kits and I cant wait for it to arrive! I do have 2 spaces left but time is running out so contact me for details ASAP if you would like to attend.kate@boltweb.net

Do you like the little note books I have covered in the picture above? I have used the Crafting Forever Stamp set for the images and Timeless Textures for the paint splatter. Great sentiments in this set. I like "Crafting Forever, Housework Whenever!"πŸ˜ƒ but I thought "Do Something Creative Everyday" was the right sentiment for the notebook.

Here's how I made it .

I hope you like the video . Its the first of a series of  Five Minute Friday tutorials. A bit of fun and a challenge to see if I can actually complete it in five minutes - you'll have to watch to find out! and also to show that there are lots of quick and easy projects out there that can give us our crafting satisfaction without taking loads of time to do. I have made 53 of them. Yes. 53!

I am away this weekend at a team craft event. Its a whole weekend of fun, crafting, cake, socialising and more crafting. I got to see lots of the wider team at convention in Amsterdam in April and I will be seeing some of those and also catching up with some who couldn't make it all the way there and I cant wait! So these notebooks are for my swaps. When us demonstrators gather together we make a project, replicate it however many times and swap them at events. We then come home with a bag full of lovely things, ideas and inspiration!

SO in case you hadn't noticed, the new catalogue is out πŸ˜‚
You can browse it here and shop here

If you would like your own complimentary copy, request one here

My first order has gone in and I am patiently waiting for my delivery!! I have a few favourites already.
The Planner! It really is so beautiful . It is a kit full of pages, stickers, page dividers, photo pockets  and it is suitable for everyone. The dates are blank so you can start at any time of the year and yo can also buy refill kits! So excellent value for money too. Its on my order!

This Little Piggy

Colour Theory Suite. Memories And More.

A couple of the gorgeous new ribbons.

I already have the Piggies! I won this Stamp set at convention. This little piggy. Its so cute and I've used it a few times already. My ladies at Coffee and Cards loved it too. If you look on Pinterest there are lots of fabulous projects made already with this cute set.
I have the Colour Theory Stamps, dies and papers already and they are just brilliant. Look out for a blog post coming soon showing how this range is perfect for memory keeping.
I have a few of the brand new ribbons too. They really are beautiful. I will be offering a ribbon share in July, so watch out for that. It means that if you don't want to buy whole reels  you can sample lots of the ribbons at a fraction of the cost of buying whole reels so you can try more!

This catalogue is full of beautiful new things. I will share more with you as soon as my delivery arrives. Have a great weekend. I hope you get to do some crafting too!

I would love to know what your favourite new products in the catalogue are! Leave me a comment.

This Little Piggy! - from the new Annual Stampin Up Catalogue. Out today!!

So excited for today! The new Annual Stampin Up Catalogue is launched today!!. As demonstrators we have been able to pre order for quite a while but a selection of items. Some of them have been popping up all over Pinterest and You Tube already but I cannot wait to see what amazing things are going to be created now the whole catalogue is released. I love it. I really think its the best one we have had. SO many lovely things inside, it full to bursting!

Whilst at Stampin Up Convention in Amsterdam in April I was very lucky to win a cute new stamp set during Prize Patrol. It is so fun.
How cute is he/she?!

So of course I had to have a play with it.

I used the Piggy image as my main focus and some of the beautiful new Delightful Daisy DSP (patterned papers) behind. I added some little daisies I had stamped from the new Daisy Delight stamp set. This required a little fussy cutting but really hardly any The card base is Powder Pink. Its a beautiful soft pink and one of the 5 brand new 2017 -2019 In colours. I hope you like him. I will be using him/her a lot I am sure. Please leave me comment to let me know what you think.

Our beautiful new 2017 - 2019 In Colours!

In addition to the main Stampin Up Colour families, each year 5 new In Colours are released. These are our new ones. Aren't they lovely. Which is your favourite? They have great names too. Tranquil Tide, Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist and Powder Pink. Stampin Up's match all their colours throughout their inks, card stocks, marker, patterned papers ribbons and embellishments. Making it so easy and takes the guess work out of everything.

Please let me know if you would like a copy of the  new Stampin Up Annual Catalogue.  I would be happy to send you a complimentary copy.  If you would like to have a look at some of the products used in my projects pop over to katebolt.stampinup.net

Secret Shutter Card with Daisy Delight!

I have had so much fun with this! I originally saw a version of this card when a fellow Stampin Up demonstrator brought one to team training a little while ago. I was intrigued. I'm not a huge fan of fussy cards but I do like ones with added dimension , movement or  interesting folds. I watched an excellent tutorial on You Tube by Francine Martin which was excellent. thank yo Francine!  I had a couple of goes using the Cool Treats Suite from Stampin Up. I loved how they turned out and thought the new Daisy Delight Papers Stamps and Punch would be perfect for it.

The fun part of it is the message that is hidden inside behind the shutter. When the card is opened the shutter also opens allowing you to see the message appear.

It looks complicated but it is really is a simple card to make.
This is how I made it

Less is more!

Sometimes less is more don't you think! That's the way I would describe this card . I have used just a few stamps from the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set and the Blossom Builder Punch. It is a three step stamp set allowing you to build up layers of colour on the images of the petals. Then they are simply punched out before gently curling with my fingers and adhering to the front of my card. I love this bright colour Pink. Its Melon Mambo and of course the cardstock is dyed to match it perfectly. Its great how Stampin Up do that with all their colours. The green Old Olive sets it off perfectly I think.
I will be sending out some of these cards. #makeacardsendacard

This is how I made it

My card stock base is Whisper White A4 cut in half at 10.5 cm and scored at 14.8 cm.
The Front panels are Melon Mambo at 10 cm x 14.3 cm and Whisper White at 9.5 cm x 13.8 cm.

Just to give you the heads up and possibly save you some money, this Stamp
set and punch is currently priced  as a bundle in the catalogue saving you 10%, however when the new catalogue goes live on 1st June it will not be offered as a bundle so if you would like it at a saving make sure you order before 31st May.

The brand new Stampin Up Annual Catalogue is launched 1st June.   Please let me know if you would like a copy.  If you would like to have a look at some of the products used in my projects pop over to katebolt.stampinup.net

Daisy Delight Card

I needed to make some Thank you cards so I thought I would have a play with the new Daisy products from Stampin up. The Designer Series Paper is so pretty. Full of beautiful images and colours. I played with this paper for the first time properly today and I am in love with it. I can see it being used a lot in all sorts of projects. Its not flowery throughout. There are definitely a couple of designs that would be good for the chaps too. ( not that I think the flowers are just for ladies of course!) I love every single design in this pack.

I used the large daisy image and its matching punch. I love a punch and was very pleased to see this one! The card base is in one of the brand new 2017 - 2019 In colours, Powder Pink and I picked the colours from the paper when stamping the daisy and leaves.

This is how I made it

My cardstock base is Powder Pink. A4 card cut in half at 10.5 cm and scored in half at 14.8 cm.
The DSP panel is 8.5 cm x 14. 8 cm
The DSP edge panels are 2.5 cm x 14.8 cm.
The banners are Whisper White and DSP, both at 2.5 cm x 8 cm
Ink Pads : Powder Pink, Dapper Denim, Pool Party and Daffodil Delight.
I really hope you like it.

This beautiful Daisy Suite will be available from June 1st in the brand new Stampin Up Catalogue. If you would like a copy please let me know. Id be delighted to send you one. If you would like to have a look at some of the products used in my projects pop over to katebolt.stampinup.net

#Make Something That Means Something.

A card in the post or a hand written note is such a  joy to receive don't you think? Even with the instant connectivity of the internet there is nothing like a card arriving and knowing that someone has taken the trouble to put pen to paper, and posted it to you.  This has inspired my project today. Its a pretty gift box to hold cards. Its an easy make, made using the envelope punch board. I made it to fit  standard size cards and envelopes just because that's the size I make most often.

See here for how I made them

The materials I have used are:

Designer Series Paper Stack in Subtles. (Patterned paper)  9.5 x 9.5 inches
Scrap of Whisper White card stock for sentiment.
Scrap of matching card stock in Blushing Bride or Pool Party
Basic Pearls
Blushing Bride Ribbon or Vanilla Satin Ribbon
Inks in Blushing Bride or Pool Party.
Adhesive-Tombow or Tear n Tape

The tools used are :

Envelope Punch Board
Stitched Shape Framelit Oval
Blossom Punch
Suite Sentiments Stamp Set

I have a special friend who is so kind and giving. She has a lot of penfriends so one of these gift boxes will be going to her filled with a selection of my hand made cards. If you are interested in learning how to make cards do get in contact. I run classes suitable for beginners through to advanced crafters. I'm also happy to do a one to one to get you started if you'd like. There really is nothing like a hand made card popping through the letter box. So if you'd like to spread a little cheer and make something that means something Id love to hear from you.
If you would like to have a look at some of the products used in my projects pop over to katebolt.stampinup.net   If you place an on line order for between £20 and £150 please add hostess code YUWHS2PW on checking out and I will send you a little thank you gift at the end of the month. If your order is £150 or more there is no need to add the code as you will earn your own Stampin Rewards! If there is anything you would like help with, don't hesitate to ask. I would love to earn your custom.

If you would like to get your hands on all the new Stampin Up products early, join an amazing paper crafting family, have access to training and of course a great discount then get in touch for a chat. Id love to have you in my team!

Thanks for stopping by. See you soon X
