New Product Sneek Peek Daisy Delight.

Mondays brings a new challenge from the Global Design Project. Each week the challenge changes and this week it is a sketch challenge. This is the sketch we have been given this week.
I love taking part as it stretches your creativity and its great fun to see how different everyone's entries are each week. I only posted last weeks entry a couple of days ago. Last week was a full one for me! We have a full week to take part and this week I thought Id try and get ahead.
I have been busy playing with products from the new Stampin Up catalogue that is due out next month and I just love this stamp set Daisy Delight. I have used the large main daisy image in this card and its matching punch. I just love a punch! So useful. I have also included three of the brand new 2017-2019 In Colours, Berry Burst, Powder Pink and Lemon Lime Twist.

The front panel is a piece of water colour paper 14.3 cms x 10 cms. Using an aqua painter I laid down water in a panel in the middle of the paper. Using the Aqua painter and using my Lemon Lime Twist ink pad lid as a palate I then added colour to the paper. I repeated this with the Powder Pink ink also until I had the desired water colour effect. I then dried it using my heat tool. It could also be left to dry if you don't have one. I stamped out the daisy 5 times in powder pink and then using a stamp from Timeless Textures added little splotches all over the petals in Berry Burst before cutting out with the punch. I then layered all the daisies together and adhered using tombow glue to give a nice full flower effect. I have then lightly curled the petals with my fingers. The base of my card is in Lemon Lime Twist. A4 card cut in half at 10.5 cms and scored at 14.8 cms.  I have stamped the sentiment from the Eastern Beauty stamp set. I love the font and versatility in this sentiment.  For the finishing touch I have added some droplets of glue form the fine tipped applicator glue which have set and give the impression of dew or rain drops.

  1. Love the splotches of color on the flower petals... very 'prima' like. Haven't heard of the glue for dew drops. Great tip! Creative Blessings! Kelly
