Everything Is Rosy Blog Hop !

I am so excited to be part of this special collaborative blog hop with the Pinkies team I belong to here in the UK and the Inkspired team over in Australia! If you are starting here or continuing to hop, hello and welcome to my blog. Today we will all be working with the new, gorgeous Everything Is Rosy Medleyđź’•

It's cram packed full of beautiful products and the first thing I wanted to make with it was a Memory Album. Perfect to fill with photographs and gift.

The papers are foiled in Rose Gold and are so pretty, easy to choose which to use on the album pages.

I've used the detailed edgelit die with the Rose Gold Foil card to create a beautiful edge down the right sides of the pages.

The flowers and leaves are stamped in Night Of Navy and Melon Mambo, full strength and stamping off to create different shades of the same colour before die cutting Making it simple work to layer them up and decorate the pages.

I've added pockets that give plenty of extra space to include photos and journaling and I used a little of the Melon Mambo Ruched Ribbon to create a pull tab on this one.

Can you see a few of the Rose Gold mirror dots I added to this page?

This might be my favourite page.

I've used a paintbrush to splatter the Rose Gold Shimmer Paint to the Whisper White card before adding the stamped, die cut flowers and leaves. The leaf sprays were cut in Whisper White and simply painted with the Rose Gold Shimmer Paint.

I've painted the friend die cut from the Well Written framelits with the Rose Gold Shimmer Paint.

I made it as a gift with a matching birthday card to go with it,

A little more paint spattering with the Shimmer Paint before layering up the die cut flowers. The sentiment is stamped in Melon Mambo and the leaf sprays are die cut with the Rose Gold Foiled card to finish it off.

I hope you like it, do let me know. I've loved playing with Everything Is Rosy and there are lots more projects to come with it, so do look out for those.

Hello Beautiful Butterfly! Inspire Create Stamping Challenge #043

Do you like this colour palette? We have such a happy colour combination for this week's Inspire Create Challenge #043. I really love all three colours and an idea poppied into mind as soon as I saw them.

The ink splattering was the best part! I dipped my aqua painter into the ink, and splattered it randomly! I love it. such a pretty effect.

Butterfly card, with copper heat embossing and watercolouring in Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie and Granny Apple Green for the Inspire Create Challenge. Butterfly Gala Stampin Up

How it's made

I stamped one of the large butterfly's in the stamp set in clear Versamark onto watercolour paper and heat embossed using Copper Embossing powder - heat embossing never gets old does it!, The watercolouring was done using my Aquapainter, lifting ink from my Poppy Parade and Pumpkin Pie ink pads. I then punched it out using the Butterfly Duet punch.

The sentiment was stamped straight on top with Memento black ink and the butterfly attached with a little adhesive to the middle of his body, leaving his wings free. I used a card base of Granny Apple Green and then a layer of Poppy Parade and one of Pumpkin Pie.

A colour palette is a great starting point for a card and I loved this one. You can pop over to the Inspire Create Challenge #043 to see what the rest of the awesome Design Team came up with for this challenge here for lots of inspiration and you can play along too. We would love to have you!

Goodbye Little Bee! Dragonfly Dreams.

Dragonfly Dreams #simplestamping Card using the Bee from Dragonfly Dreams.

Ink, stamps and paper, that's it, all you need to create a card. Stampin' Up issue us a challenge each month to create a card using just those three elements to show that you don't need to own everything to create a beautiful hand made card and that stamping is accessible to everyone, including brand new stampers. #simplestamping Challenge

The May challenge is to use one of your favourite retiring stamp sets, so of course I had to pull out Dragonfly Dreams and use the gorgeous little bee stamp. This little guy has appeared on many of my cards.

Dragonfly Dreams #simplestamping Card using the Bee from Dragonfly Dreams.

For my simple stamping challenge I used the dots stamp with Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay ink - both stamped off first. I stamped the bee on top twice in Black Memento ink and the sentiment in Bermuda Bay. I stamped the sentiment and the bees inside the card in Black Memento ink and added a stamped bee to the envelope to finish it off. But there's more ...

This is a slightly stepped up version of the card, more aimed at the casual crafter rather than the  beginner. The bees are heat embossed using Versamark and Copper Embossing Powder and the sentiment is stamped on Whisper White and raised on Dimensionals with some Copper Metallic Thread behind to finish it off.

Each of the cards is made using a 4"x4" card and a 3 3/4" square layer.

I have used the matching Detailed Dragonfly Thinlit dies for this card which is stepped up again and is more a card for the avid crafter, someone who has a Big Shot in their arsenal, giving them further scope to play.

Here is the You Tube Tutorial showing how I made it.

I hope you like the video, do give me a thumbs up and subscribe if you do. Don't forget to press the little bell for notification of future videos.

You can see how I used this stamp set in previous projects here, here, here, here, here, and here. Such a gorgeous set, it's only available until the end of the month or whilst stocks last so don't leave it too late.

Paper Pumpkin!! Hugs From Shelli. Reserve your Kit!

The Hugs from Shelli kit Stampin Up

Just a quick post from me today but I had to let you know about something that is very exciting that is coming next week. If You don't know,  Paper Pumpkin is a monthly kit that has been available in North America and Canada for years. You can purchase it as a one off or as a monthly subscription. and we have been asking for Paper Pumpkin for soooo long! Well Stampin' Up! listened.

This one off, Hugs From Shelli kit is going to be available from the 15th of May for this month only or whilst stocks last.

Part of what makes each kit so special is that Stampin' Up don't reveal what is inside the kit ahead of time which adds to the excitement and anticipation of receiving it. However, we did get to play and have a little taster of what was to come at our Onstage convention last month.

Isn't it gorgeous! And look at the envelope!

Have a look at the short video all about this gorgeous spring inspired kit, designed by Stampin' Up! founder herself Shelli Gardner

And a little video from me too. Do give me a thumbs up and subscribe if you liked it.

Here is what you will be getting in your kit!

The Shelli kit from Paper Pumpkin includes the following:
  • An exclusive stamp set not available anywhere else
  • One Classic Stampin’ Spot® from our Classic ink collection
  • Paper and crafting materials to create 12 cards (3 cards of 4 unique designs)
  • 12 exclusive, coordinating envelopes
  • Adhesives and embellishments for all 12 cards
As you can see it contains everything you need to create except a clear acrylic block - left out to keep the price point down for us.The kit is just £20 plus P&P.

We have been warned that the kit is likely to prove very popular and will sell out very fast and judging the response we are having from customers and demonstrators I am sure this will be the case. I am currently taking orders for the kit and my list is growing. I will place the order as SOON as the kit becomes available, so if you would like reserve your kit, I would encourage you to contact me as soon as possible and I can add yours to the order.

Excitingly (is that a word?) the Hugs From Shelli Kit coordinates with a brand new stamp set that will be available in our new upcoming catalogue in a few weeks time. Free As A Bird. Which gives us even more scope for alternatives with our Paper Pumpkin kit if you like to do your own thing too.
